Winter seems to bring many of the outdoor pests into your home or business. So what are the three most common winter pests? 1 Rodent
During the fall and winter months, mice and rats are the most abundant pests inside the home. In the fall, squirrels can also be an issue as their nest building can cause them to target homes and outbuildings.
Mice are pests that will take up residence all over the house. They are fond of kitchens where food and water are available and closets with plenty of soft things to chew up for nesting material. Rats are also an issue, especially under homes, in attics, and throughout the subflooring. Mice and rats are not only dirty, but they are also loud. In addition, because they are nocturnal, they help keep you up at night.
2 Cockroaches
The holidays bring out the cockroaches in numbers. A house full of cockroaches is just what you want to show off to your guests. Nothing garnishes a perfectly roasted ham than the presence of cockroaches.
